A Family's Revenge
About this video...
Public since April 19th, 2006.
A Family's Revenge is a screenplay written by Stephen Georg that was originally created for a 2005 Spanish class. However, upon review of the material, the high school teacher decided the script was simply too complicated for our knowledge of the language, and too violent for her tastes.
A year later, with a new teacher in charge, we were given the okay to proceed with the production. Most of the original script remained intact—very little was changed. Filming began in early March and continued into the middle of April, for approximately seven weeks.
This video was the second time we had used chroma key (the green screen effect), and a square piece of fabric over 11 feet long was sewn together specifically for the video.
In 2005, when the script was first created, the video was set to star Mike Long and Nick Smith, but that changed to Justin Branfuhr and Jarrett Hucks in 2006. Unfortunately, Jarrett's schedule did not permit him enough time to devote to such a huge role, and he was replaced with Bradley Cooper.
Filming and editing combined, A Family's Revenge took about 50+ hours to create. At the time, it was the most extensive project that MeStephen.com had put together, and still remains a fan favorite today.
In 2007, production of the sequel, A Family's Revenge 2 began. The project had a script roughly three times the length of the first, divided into 15 different scenes. After several months of production (finishing 11 of the 15 scenes), the project was canceled indefinitely due to time issues. All of the actors went off to college and the Revenge saga was over.

DVD
A DVD for A Family's Revenge exists, but is no longer distributed. Sometimes Stephen will send donors and other supporters of the site copies of the disc, however. The DVD contains the movie with chapter selection, the blooper reel, and a full commentary track by Stephen Georg. The disc was packed in a case with a full-color insert.
AFR2
Just as a reminder, A Family's Revenge 2 is canceled indefinitely. However, 11 of 15 scenes were filmed, and many of those were edited. Here's a clip from the now dead project.
